The Last Tender, 64 minutes, 2022

 The Last Tender is a documentary-led tragicomedy, inspired by my family holidays and ideas that emerged from my ad-hoc documentary, Ooooooh's Cruise, made on a British cruise just after the Brexit referendum. As part of the award I planned a 5 week cruise holiday/ residency with artist Harry Plomer, between February and March 2020. The Covid-19 pandemic unfolded whilst we were away so I documented the experience, focusing on Harry as the incidental protagonist.

Using the cruise ship as a microcosm the film examines how leisure culture both reinforces social hierarchies and shapes complex communal experiences, exploring the interplay between disaster, entertainment, and hedonism.
